Circus Casino Namur is recruiting its next Deputy Managing Director – Casino Operations

With over 250,000 visitors each year, Circus Casino Namur stands as a leading player in Wallonia’s leisure industry, combining casino gaming, hotel services, dining, and events under one roof.
We are looking for a Deputy Managing Director – Casino Operations who will act as a strategic partner to the General Director, with the mission to drive economic performance, stimulate growth, and create lasting value across our site and its various activities. This role requires strong initiative, strategic vision, and the ability to inspire and unite a large team of around 200 employees.

Working closely with the General Director, you will play a key strategic role in:

  • Driving business performance and ensuring short- and long-term value creation
  • Monitoring market trends and competitors in Belgium and Europe, including the analysis of Metatrends, to maintain the casino’s growth trajectory
  • Acting as an ambassador for the Resort with the press, local authorities, and public stakeholders
  • Leading innovative initiatives to boost the site’s growth and enhance its appeal
  • Ensuring operational excellence and delivering a premium customer experience that fosters loyalty, differentiation, and sustainable performance
  • Strengthening the managerial culture by combining agility and rigor, always keeping the customer at the heart of every decision

This position is designed to evolve towards broader responsibilities, depending on performance and the Group’s strategic outlook.

YOUR ROLE
1. Business Performance and Value Creation

  • Analyze and manage key financial and operational indicators (revenue, EBITDA, footfall, average spend)
  • Identify and activate levers to improve performance and profitability
  • Challenge costs, optimize investments, and secure sustainable margins
  • Contribute to strategic decisions impacting the site’s long-term value

2. Market Intelligence, Innovation, and Strategic Positioning

  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of the gambling industry in Belgium and Europe, including Metatrend analysis
  • Propose innovative initiatives to strengthen Circus Casino Namur’s market position
  • Ensure alignment between local initiatives and the Group’s omnichannel and digital strategies
  • Build strategic partnerships to enhance the site’s visibility and attractiveness

3. Leadership and People Development

  • Inspire and mobilize operational teams through strong on-site presence
  • Empower managers and promote accountability and autonomy
  • Foster a feedback-driven and performance-oriented culture
  • Demonstrate demanding yet fair leadership, balancing performance with team well-being.
  • Inspire and unite a collective of around 200 employees.

4. Operational Excellence and Daily Management

  • Ensure the optimal and secure functioning of all site activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate department heads to guarantee smooth operations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate strategic agreements for the site.

5. On-Site Presence and Customer Relations

  • Be a visible and proactive presence in the field, especially during peak activity periods.
  • Maintain privileged relationships with regular and VIP clients.
  • Handle sensitive or complex situations with discernment and efficiency.
  • Represent the Resort to the press, mayors, and local or institutional stakeholders.

YOUR PROFILE 
Thriving in an environment as specific and demanding as a casino combined with a hotel requires both solid technical skills, a strong sense of initiative, and a sharp understanding of operations and business.

  • Master’s degree in management, business, or related field (or Bachelor’s with strong managerial, operational, and financial experience).
  • 8–10 years in senior or deputy management, ideally in the casino or hospitality sector.
  • Proven experience in business performance management and leading large, multidisciplinary teams (≈200 employees).
  • Strong financial acumen, strategic vision, and adaptability to market trends.
  • Inspiring, diplomatic, and results-driven leadership with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in French and in English, essential for public relations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Energy, charisma, resilience, and strong on-site presence.
  • Capacity to make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
  • Rigor, sense of priorities, curiosity, and initiative.
  • On-site presence required, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods.
  • High schedule flexibility and potential medium-term mobility within the Group.
