  • IT/Infrastructure

THE SCOPE

With more than 30 years of history, Gaming1 is today one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance (casino games, sports betting and poker). Its continuous growth, driven by innovation, is supported by strong local brands and deep market expertise.

As part of this strategy, Gaming1 is looking for a System Engineer.

This position is part of the Gaming1 IT department, which designs, delivers, and operates technical solutions for all land-based establishments of the group (casinos, gaming halls, sports betting centers) as well as corporate functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Compliance.

YOUR ROLE

You won’t just “keep the lights on.” You will be a hands-on technical authority, ensuring that Gaming1’s infrastructure remains robust, secure, and future-ready.

  • Own the Infrastructure: Act as technical owner of core infrastructure components, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability across corporate and retail environments.
  • Secure by Design: Enforce security baselines, apply system hardening, and embed cybersecurity best practices into daily operations.
  • Keep Systems Healthy: Manage lifecycle activities (upgrades, patches, replacements), monitor system health, and proactively prevent incidents.
  • Be the Last Line of Defense: Provide 3rd-level support, lead root cause analyses, and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Automate & Improve: Eliminate repetitive tasks through scripting and automation, and continuously improve infrastructure efficiency and resilience.

YOUR PROFILE

We hire for mindset, ownership, and technical depth. You are a strong fit if:

  • You Are Hands-On: You enjoy being close to the systems you operate and solving complex infrastructure issues end-to-end.
  • You Think Secure First: Security, hardening, and risk assessment are natural parts of your engineering approach.
  • You Are a Problem Solver: You stay calm under pressure and enjoy diagnosing complex incidents.
  • You Like Sharing Knowledge: You mentor less-experienced engineers and help raise the overall technical bar.
  • You Value Rigor: Documentation, standards, and operational excellence matter to you.
  • English Proficiency: You can communicate technical topics clearly in English (B2+)

The Tech Stack (What We Use)

You don’t need to master everything from day one, but curiosity and continuous learning are essential.

  • Core Systems: Windows Server, Linux
  • Identity & Enterprise Tools: Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune (Jamf is a plus)
  • Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix
  • Security & Ops: Monitoring tools, backup & recovery solutions, security frameworks (NIST, CIS)
  • Automation: PowerShell (preferred), Bash or equivalent
