YOUR ROLE
You actively participate in the preparation of the monthly and annual accounting closings of Maltese legal entities.
You record daily transactions, including purchase invoices, sales invoices and banking transactions of Maltese entities.
You contribute to the management of accounts payables and accounts receivables, including monitoring balances and addressing discrepancies.
You are in charge of the booking of more complex accounting transactions such as cut off journal entries (accruals, prepayments, PO & SO adjustments…), capex & related depreciation...
You pay particular attention to the accuracy of the analytical accounting.
You assist in the account justification and documentation.
You liaise and collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
You participate in the reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
You assist in the preparation of tax related obligations and compliance with local tax regulations.
You assist in the cash forecast analysis and preparation of payments.
You ensure good communication and transmission of information with the rest of the Maltese accounting team.
You contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
You assist in the optimization of the ERP.
YOUR PROFILE
You have an accounting qualification or are in the process of completing your accounting studies, and you bring at least 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit.
You possess a solid understanding of GAAP and VAT regulations, combined with strong ERP knowledge and advanced Excel skills, allowing you to navigate systems efficiently and support accurate financial reporting.
Autonomous and well-organized, you work independently on assigned responsibilities while ensuring precision and reliability. You are comfortable managing routine accounting operations as well as moderately complex transactions, including accruals, prepayments, cut-off entries, and other closing-related activities.
You demonstrate strong ownership in executing accounting processes and consistently meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Experience with AI tools is considered an asset, along with a proactive mindset and the ability to challenge and improve existing accounting processes.
A collaborative team player, you communicate clearly and effectively with both finance and operational stakeholders.
Experience in the gaming industry, an audit background, knowledge of P2P processes (including the use of Purchase Orders), analytical accounting dimensions, or familiarity with IFRS standards are considered strong assets.
With an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, you contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
