A great outpouring of generosity for our 1st Charity Week Gaming1

HR

From 15 to 19 November, Gaming1 had its 1st Charity Week! A week of solidarity organized as part of our #BeHelpful HR program.

Integrity is one of Gaming1’s 5 values and, further than “communicating” it, it’s important to embody this value in our exchanges between colleagues, as well as in concrete actions such as Charity Week.

More than 75 parcels ready to go!

For this 1st edition, 5 associations were represented in our new HUB:

  • Loving Kids, a non-profit organization that collects toys to give to disadvantaged children in welcome centers in Liège during the Christmas period.
  • The Dakar Project is the initiative of an employee from Senegal who collects clothes and then sends them to Dakar for families in need.
  • Livr’ensemble collects used books to be resold at a lower price so everyone can have access to books. The opportunity to learn and escape. A share of the proceeds is then given to local associations in Wallonia and Brussels.
  • Shoe-box is a simple concept: fill a shoe box you have at home with non-perishable food.
  • And finally Eslosia ASBL which collects material for schools (felt-tip pens, crayons, etc.), recreational activities (balls, cuddly toys, etc.) and education (books, games, etc.) for non-French speaking students in basic teaching. They also organize sociocultural, educational, artistic, sport and recreational extracurricular activities (cooking, sport, gardening, etc.) and integrate learning French.
During the whole week, donations poured in and the collections boxes filled up quickly. Thanks to our employee’s spirit of solidarity, we now have more than 75 parcels ready to be given to these associations. So, we are closing our 1st Charity Week with a feeling of success, while also being determined to set an even more ambitious target for our next edition.
