Gaming1 picks up 3 awards at the MiGEA’s

This year once again, Gaming1 has been acclaimed by the Maltese jury during the MiGEA event and won 3 prizes: Best Online Industry Achiever of the Year, Best Industry Contributor of the Year and Best Industry Achiever of the Year (Land Based).

Every year, all the big names in the gaming industry gather at Malta’s Gaming Excellence Awards (MiGEA). This event rewards and celebrates the companies and individuals who constantly strive to innovate, excel and develop the industry.

After having won 5 prizes in 2022, Gaming1 has once again racked up the rewards this year with 3 victories, and not just any victories: Best Online Industry Achiever of the Year, Best Industry Contributor of the Year and Best Industry Achiever of the Year (Land Based).

These 3 awards are once again testament to the relentless work our teams have accomplished in the last 30 years on the regulated gambling markets. We are all the more proud to have been rewarded for our successes both land-based and online. Our land-based activities are part of our DNA, since our story started with the opening of the very first Circus gaming hall in Liège. We then developed our expertise to become leaders in Belgium through our brand Circus and we now boast more than 30 gaming halls and 2 casinos. With the advent of digital technology, we have adapted to ensure a unique and multichannel gaming experience to our customers thanks to our digital platform and a loyalty program that rewards players online as well as in the gaming halls.

This year, our teams were faced with new challenges, and big ones at that! Gaming1 has pursued its international expansion, crossing borders once again with the launch of Circus.nl in the Netherlands, and also conquering the US market with the launch of Betly in Arkansas, Tennessee and Ohio. These launches were followed by the release of our first mobile application on iOS and Android.

On the Belgian market, the group has continued to innovate, and welcomed a new and world-renowned ambassador for the Circus brand: Brazilian football star Ronaldinho. The group’s flagship brand made the most of this partnership to run a new responsible gaming campaign (Time to play responsibly) and gathered close to 20,000 people during the Circus Cup, a 100% free event which featured football legends such as R10. This major event spread values of pleasure, boldness and performance which are an integral part of the group’s DNA.

With these 3 prizes in hand, Gaming1 leaves more motivated than ever, and sets its sights on new challenges, such as the upcoming release of Betly in West Virginia.
