Scientific research to protect players

For over three years, Gaming1 has been collaborating with the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Professor Xavier Noël to protect gamblers from problematic behavior. This long-standing collaboration has led to the creation of our player protection tool, developed using artificial intelligence.

As a legal operator in the game of chance sector, Gaming1 is conscious of their societal role and ethical responsibility to combat problematic gaming behavior to offer a regulated and secure gaming environment to its players. Therefore, Gaming1 has always integrated responsible gaming into their global strategy.

With this in mind, three years ago the group joined forces with Xavier Noël, a doctor of psychology and recognized specialist in addictology from the Université libre de Bruxelles. Drawing on his scientific expertise and the anonymized player database we've built up over the years, we've worked together to develop an innovative tool that uses artificial intelligence to detect problematic gambling behavior.

This revolutionary prevention tool analyses and detects potentially risky behavior indicators based on player habits and data legally stored by the operator. In addition, the tool takes into account different factors such as the time spent and amounts staked, the frequency of gaming and the pattern of bets. Artificial intelligence coupled with data science allows a player profile to be determined based on various risk levels depending on behavior indicator analysis. Operating for three years now, our system automatically triggers an alert when risky behavior is identified, enabling Gaming1 to intervene proactively and offer personalized assistance to players.

Xavier Noël underlines the significant evolution of this three-year collaboration, highlighting the crucial importance of understanding human behavior in the digital age, where every interaction leaves a digital trace. He considers that treating gambling addiction in this way is a colossal challenge, but that it is a universally recognized scientific priority. By automating the detection of risky behavior over the past three years, Gaming1's artificial intelligence is making an ongoing contribution to preventing the development of gambling addiction.

This collaboration between Gaming1 and Xavier Noël marks a significant step forward in protecting players from problem gambling. The judicious use of artificial intelligence and big data over the past three years is testament to our enduring commitment to social responsibility and the protection of our users.
