Charity Poker Tournament: a 4th edition for solidarity

On 16 October 2025, Gaming1 brought together its employees for a unique charity event at the Casino de Namur. €8,225 was raised for the benefit of the nonprofit organization Foyer Saint-Augustin.

Gaming1’s Charity Poker Tournament has once again kept all its promises! For this 4th edition, more than 250 employees from the Hub, gaming halls and the Casino de Namur came together for a poker tournament for the benefit of Foyer Saint-Augustin, an association that works continuously to offer a warm welcome and support to young people in difficulty.

The Charity Poker Tournament, a wonderful tradition of solidarity

Every year, Gaming1 organizes this charity poker tournament to support a cause we care about. Registration for the tournament, set at €30 per participant, is fully donated to the beneficiary association. In addition, employees had the opportunity to make an additional donation via a QR Code throughout the evening.

Thanks to the generosity of the participants and everyone’s efforts, a total of €8,225 was raised this year for Foyer Saint-Augustin. With these donations, they will be able to fund several essential projects that contribute to the well-being and personal growth of the children. Specifically, the association will launch several psychological assessments and resume certain therapies such as art therapy, which is particularly appreciated by the young residents. Three children will also have the chance to go on a mountain holiday next summer, while others will be able to take part in activity camps. The donations will also make it possible to secure the outside area of the home by installing a safety barrier, ensuring a safer environment for the children. Finally, the Foyer plans to invest in educational and recreational materials to encourage the personal development and self-confidence of the young people in its care.

A moment of sharing and cohesion

Beyond the charitable aspect, this event is above all a great opportunity to bring together the entire Gaming1 group as well as our partners. Their commitment once again demonstrates the solidarity and collective spirit that drive the Gaming1 community.

There was a cheerful atmosphere around the tables, enhanced by music, a bar, and a buffet. Comedian Salim Shady was also present to support this initiative and provide some laughter and lightheartedness for all participants.

A event with a positive impact

The Gaming1 Charity Poker Tournament is fully in line with the group’s ESG approach:

  • Support local initiatives through concrete and solidarity-based actions
  • Bring together employees around a common project
  • Promote our values of respect, mutual assistance and responsibility.

Following the success of this 4th edition, Gaming1 has once again confirmed that solidarity and conviviality can go hand in hand.
